Monde Condos is a new condo project by Great Gulf Homes currently in pre-construction at 5 Lower Sherbourne St in Toronto. Monde Condos is scheduled for completion in 2016. The project has a total of 500 units. The project will form the east edge of Sherbourne Common, bringing lively eating establishments and retail to the pedestrian realm here.
Internationally renowned Moshe Safdie, working with Toronto's award-winning Quadrangle Architects, presents a design where every second balcony extends out from the building, creating very dramatic views for those who will eventually take up residence within.
Monde is an iconic building with visionary design that offers stunning views of both the lake and the city. A stone and glass podium gives rise to a 40-storey soaring glass tower at Queens Quay and Lower Sherbourne.
Two-storey balconies, open to the sky, jut out perpendicular to the building and almost everyone has a view of the lake and exposure in three directions (North/South/West or North/South/East).
Monde is one of the only handful of residential buildings in Canada targeting LEED Gold certification through features like a living green wall in the lobby, green rooftops on floors 5, 12 and 41, low emission construction materials and a light palette for finishes that won’t absorb excessive heat.
As with all Great Gulf communities, Monde will have a fabulous selection of suites (from 1-bedroom starting at 483 sq. ft. all the way to 3-bedroom + den, 1,677 sq. ft.) and exceptional amenities. Amenities will occupy the entire 12th floor of the building and include a stunning 19,000 square foot recreational space designed by Cecconi Simone, with an outdoor pool, outdoor cabanas, an expansive rooftop deck (with outdoor kitchen, fireplace and lounging areas), yoga and fitness studio, indoor garden, hot plunge pool, cyber café and more. Neighbourhood attractions add to the resort lifestyle with Sherbourne Common, Sugar Beach and kilometers of boardwalk right outside your front door.
